Planning Ingenuity Pty Ltd was established in 2001 as a specialist town planning consultancy, offering high quality services in relation to all aspects of the development process throughout New South Wales. Our business has grown as a direct consequence of client recommendations and referrals to become a highly respected planning consultancy, attracting projects from both private and public sector clients. In our decade of operation, we have undertaken 1800+ projects which have become increasingly diverse in nature.
Our impressive project portfolio supports the notion that the size of our firm balances the ability to ensure direct dealings with our Directors on all matters while having resources and depth of staff expertise to assist with any scale of development project. In the course of our work, we also draw on the skills of lead specialist consultants to deliver practical and cost effective solutions.
Planning Ingenuity draws on the collective experience of its staff and continued professional development to keep on top of the ever changing planning system in order to assist our clients with navigating its complexities in a smooth, timely and cost effective manner. Our Directors are Certified Practising Planners by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) and we continually develop our industry knowledge to the benefit of our clients through active memberships of PIA, the Environment and Planning Law Association of NSW and the Urban Development Institute of Australia. Planning Ingenuity adheres to the PIA Code of Conduct.
Our Team
Lindsay Fletcher
Managing Director
Lindsay has more than 35 years experience in local government and private sector planning roles, including Director of Environmental Services at Fairfield City Council and Chief Town Planner at Kogarah Council. Lindsay has extensive experience in representation and assessment of complex development projects, is frequently employed as an expert witness in the Land & Environment Court and is a committee member of the Environment & Planning Law Association (NSW).
Lindsay holds a Master of Environmental Planning from Macquarie University, is a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia and has been appointed by the Minister of Planning as a member of the Sydney West Joint Regional Planning Panel. Lindsay established Planning Ingenuity in 2001.
Jeff Mead
Director
Jeff brings 12 years experience in local government and private sector planning, and has also worked in the USA with a large planning and design consultancy. Jeff has been involved in all facets of the development process, from strategic planning to representing applications, and undertaking assessment on behalf of local and state government clients. Jeff also has experience in the Land & Environment Court.
Jeff graduated from the Bachelor of Town Planning (UNSW) with the University Medal, has a Masters of Property Development (UTS) and is a Certified Practising Planner.
Benjamin Black
Associate Director
Benjamin has vast experience in development assessment and project representation having worked in senior positions in local government and with a leading national development company. He has also worked in a strategic planning role encompassing LEP and DCP preparation. As a result of this diverse experience, Benjamin has a strong understanding of all aspects of the development process and has strong project management skills.
Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Environmental Planning (UWS) and is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
Alison Davidson
Senior Planner
Alison has a wide range of local government experience, primarily in development assessment roles and involving a diversity of development types that include high rise residential and mixed use development, commercial, industrial and waterfront lands. Her experience with Planning Ingenuity has included preparation of all types of planning reports including Statements of Environmental Effects and Environmental Impact Assessments, assessment of development applications and provision of planning advice.
Alison graduated with Honours from the Bachelor of Town Planning (UNSW) and is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
Michael Vine
Senior Planner
Michael has recently returned to Australia from working as a town planner in the United Kingdom in various local government roles. Prior to that Michael gained development assessment and strategic planning experience with a Sydney Council. Michael’s current role involves preparation of all types of planning reports, assessment of development applications, research and provision of planning advice.
Michael graduated with Honours from the Bachelor of Town Planning (UNSW).
Jodie White
Office Manager
Joining Planning Ingenuity from an Executive Assistant position with a Major Property Consulting firm in Sydney CBD, Jodie brings with her over 10 years experience in Administration and Accounts.
Jodie graduated from Business College with a Diploma of Business Administration.
